What does final mean in Java?

final is a keyword used with methods, variables, classes, and parameters method.

If it used with:

  • Method : it can’t be redefined in a subclass. this technique performs the calls of this method.
  • Class : it can’t be derived by another class.
  • Variable : it can’t be modified after its initialization, it is initialized only once. If the class containing this variable has many constructors, it has to be initialized correctly regardless the constructor used.
  • Parameter method : that’s done to prevent the initialization of this parameter by the method.
