Microsoft acquired Skype

The software’s giant bought the phenomenal web company  Skype for $8.5bn. Microsoft acquired Skype Communications in order to develop the call phone services via internet. Skype has around 663 million users of its service, that makes it a very strong web company. Skype becomes a new division within Microsoft. Tony Bates the Skype’s CEO still lead operations and business. Allowing to sector experts, this is a strategic act that will help Microsoft to develop its windows 8, and promote business in the tablet market. It can help also to develop a social network platform and to improve its video conferencing services.
